CPC DRUM RECOVERING

Carolina Percussive provides recovering for any and all drums that are in need of a new look, and a new life. Drum recovering is the simple task of removing the current old covering from the drum shell, and replacing it with a newer, more polished wrap.

Many scholastic programs, as well as individuals, own drums that are not in the best of shape. These drums usually have seen years of abuse and the coverings are worn, or already torn off. That's where we come in!!

If you live outside of North Carolina, please consult your postal agency on shipping costs to our address. DRUM RECOVERING MATERIAL

When choosing a matrial to recover your drums, you must look at two separate points: Durability and Price. We provide three types of recovering materials; Paper/ Contact Paper. Cloth, and Laminate.

Paper/ Contact Paper: This material consists of adhesive backed contact paper or another type of print design paper. This kind of covering is usually the least expensive, but is not highly durable. Depending upon use and care of the instruments, this recovering methods may last from less than a year to two years.

Cloth: Simply put, a cloth recovering is just that, cloth. Many print designs are available in cloth and the durability is at a medium level. Most cloth recovering can last from one year to 3 years or slightly more, depending upon use. If you are using a themed cloth, that is not useful the next year, you may have to recover once again. The advantage of this material is if it is in good condition, you can take it off, and re-use it later.

Laminate: This material is typically the most expensive, but it lasts the longest. Using a laminate material, applied through an adhesive process, will hold up for years and years. It's possible with easy treatment of the instruments, that the covering will last over 5 years. This material is recommended for those programs wanting their equipment to hold up over years with a clean look. It may take a little longer, but it's worth it.
