Within our writing services, our seasoned staff can arrange scores, DCI transcriptions, write commissioned cadences, and warm-up packages to help make your percussion the best in the business. Listen to what we have to offer in our productions page.

Score Arrangements: Most pieces written in stock arrangements are at a lower level than wind instrument writing. This service will help directors boost the level of the percussion sound so it better suits the level of the entire ensemble. This writing is done after receiving scores from the director. Each piece is rewritten to fit the director's specifications on style and level.

DCI Transcriptions: When directors are performing shows closely resembling those done by a Drum Corps. we can take actual transcriptions for shows to match the show the director is performing.

Commissioned Cadences: As one of our more popular services, our writers can write cadences for your drum line. These cadences are written to suit lines in level and style. More >>

Warm-Up Packages: Usually included with instruction, we also write warm-up packages that help ready your ensembles for the music they play. They can be written for any level and specific concepts if needed. Most warm-up packages are written by our own instructors and fit each of their own writting and teaching styles.

Writing Compensations

All prices are determined through date scheduling. The closer to the date that music is needed, the higher the compensation level. The further out CPC is contracted to write for your program, the less the compensation, and more likely that each project will be completed early. Instruction

Instruction, provided by CPC, consists of several different areas within a given season. We offer services for Band Camp, Weekend Clinics, Fall Instructors, Concert Instructors, Spring Instructors, Winter Drum Line Instructors, & Private Instruction.

Music is not included in the compensation for any of the instruction services. Music is considered a separate service. CPC does offer a discount for a combination of these services. Contact us for more information.

All instruction options are under the availability of instructors and scheduling.

Band Camps: This service is typically for Fall Season marching programs. It is available during the Spring and Summer months. Usually consisting of a one week service; it is available upon request for additional days or weeks. Scheduling permitting.

Weekend Clinics: Weekend service is scheduled on a three day basis. Used for quick fixes and extra attention needed for certain percussion lines. (Scheduled as Fri., Sat., & Sun. if needed)

Fall Instructors: This services is seasonal and is offered for Marching Band. Scheduling of daily practice will be determined through availability of instructors. Usually at least one rehearsal day per week is scheduled. More may be added, schedule permitting.

Concert Instructors: Concert Instructors can either be during the Fall or Spring, and is devoted to instruction of concert band music, percussion ensemble music and techniques.

Spring Instructors:  (Marching) This service is for programs that wish to improve their marching season skills during the Winter & Spring months.

Winter Drum Line Instructors: This service will last throughout the Winter Line competition season. Scheduling of daily practice will be determined through availability of instructors. Usually at least one rehearsal day per week is scheduled. More may be added, schedule permitting.

Instruction Compensation

All instruction compensation is determined by the need of the program. Final price is negotiated between the Director/ Program Coordinator and CPC. Directors and Program Coordinators must understand that seasonal instruction positions will cost more than weekend positions. Winter Drum Line Productions

CPC writes original and arranged shows/ concpets for Winter Drum Line programs. Prices are determined through the length of shows and difficulty. With this service, we provide drill writing for each show as well as optional floor design concepts. Shows can be purchased separately or together. Productions include music and drill only. Other materials needed for production are paid for at the expense of the program. Instruction is compensated separately. More>>

Drum Recovering

Carolina Percussive Concepts provides recovering for all drums, if desired. Price is determined by individual drum types and materials desired. We will pick up your drums recover them and deliver them back to you. Choose from the vast variety of colors and styles from our library. Fill out our order form and click the submit button.
